Oshawott (ミジュマル) was introduced in the fifth generation of Pokémon, Pokémon Black and White (ポケットモンスターブラック・ホワイト), as the water starter. It evolves into Dewott, and later into Samurott.

- Oshawott is able to take it's shell off of its stomach and use it as either a weapon or shield.
- Initially, Oshawott was the least popular amongst the new starters on both the Pokémon Collectors community and throughout the internet. However, after a while this began to die down, and now Oshawott seems to be one of the more popular Pokémon of the fifth generation. Since Oshawott is a starter Pokémon and is owned by Ash Ketchum, Oshawott has a large amount of merchandise.
